Use it for Project Status Meetings

Use it for Project Status Meetings

  1. We’ve talked elsewhere about Project Status Meetings and whether you really need them. Another way to decide is to use the PSI as follows.
  2. The Project Manager and the Project Manager’s boss both calculate the PSI. Then they compare the six individual scores and the totals.
  3. If each pair of numbers are identical or very close, then there’s probably no need for a status meeting since all of the project essentials are in good shape.
  4. On the other hand, if there are any pairs of numbers that differ wildly, then this gives the agenda for the status meeting – these are the issues that need to be addressed.
